Severe pain in the middle part of the face beginning usually as a ear pain and causing constant headaches, jaw/ tooth pain is a common occurrence. It can occur in any patient. These facial pains are often referred to as TM joint (tempro-mandibular joint ) pains.

Patients visit ENT specialists commonly thinking it to be some sort of pain due to ear infection. But in fact, due to the common tissues between the ear and TM joint, these pains are due to disorder of the joint but referred to the ear.
